Welcome to My World of Health & Fitness



I am 56 and a mother of 3. Yes, you heard me a mother and actually a grandmother. I cant believe how fast life goes by. I have always been into fitness and healthy eating, at least what I thought was healthy eating. At the age of 41, I received the dreaded C diagnosis, Breast Cancer. How was it possible? There was no family history and I took care of myself. Well, it can happen to anyone. So what changed for me?


 


I started researching healthy eating and cancer. I started seeing a naturopathic doctor. I started meditating and working out more. Basically, I was educating myself and applying what I was learning. Did it stop me from gaining weight? When I turned 47, I managed to put on 25 unwanted pounds. How did I get here? What the heck was I doing wrong? I was eating healthy and training with a personal trainer so again, what the heck was I doing wrong? It could be menopause right? Those damn hormones. Did I mention Hormones? Well I had to dig deeper...I had a small bucket list and on that list was to do a fitness competition. Oh my God, me, such a shy conservative person do a competition? I felt I had to challenge my body, test my diet and just figure things out. 6 months into training I lost my weight, built muscle and did not one but 7 competitions, winning 3 medals by the age of 52. Yay me. So what am I getting at? Despite what I thought I was doing right, it was only during my fitness challenges that I actually learned "How to do it right?" You can research all you want on your own, join every fitness class that looks interesting, but if you don't have the right guide, tools, support and understanding of the process, then how are you making progressive and lasting changes?


 


Today at 56, through my own experiences, studies and certifications, can I proudly help others find their Healthy Living!
