Yes this is me ! In 2017 I lost weight and since then it’s been a journey to put on muscle . I am hitting 60 this year Arghhhh, I can’t believe it ! It isn’t easy at my age to put on muscle but it is possible . I just never gave up ❤️

I have been MIA!!! Well not really. I have had a super busy few weeks with holidays , family , travel. I decided not to stress over working out. First time in 10 years that I made the choice to not follow my program and just rest but actively rest ! Best decision I made. My body needed it as well as my mind. In the past I would feel so guilty not working out. I felt like I was disappointing myself. The truth is, rest allows you to recover and grow. No guilt here fitfam. We officially started working out together on June 27.
A few weeks before our training , I had her on a clean eating kickstart plan.
Our goal was to go from 200 to 165 before October 20.
On October 11, weighin was 165.

I have always been thicker around the waist. But you know what I don’t care ! I remember during competition preps how obsessed I was with trying to get my waist down as small as I can. My shoulders needed to look wider , my back needed to look more V shaped . Wear a waist trainer I was told . Listen up … don’t let anyone tell you what you should look like . Made these and they are Approved ! Such an easy recipe and delicious snack even for kids . I modified the recipe to suit my eating style . 1 pint blueberry , 1 cup vanilla Greek yogourt ( I used plain ) , almond pieces ( I did not add almond) , coconut flakes Yum… mix it all up and scoop cluster of about 1.5” onto parchemin paper and freeze about 20 min. Meanwhile melt 1 cup of dark chocolate chips with 1/4 cup of coconut oil . Dip the frozen clusters in the chocolate and then freeze again .
